FlareCare Tracker keeps your health data private by default. Your symptom logs and pain records are stored only on your device. No ads. No trackers. No third parties.
Who we are
FlareCare Tracker is published by SY Software, an independent app studio founded by Scott Yale. For questions about privacy or data practices, contact support@sysoftware.com.
Information we collect
FlareCare Tracker is designed to protect your health information. The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Pain logs: location, intensity, quality (sharp, aching, burning, etc.), date, and time
- Symptom data: energy levels, mood, stress, sleep quality, and notes
- Trigger history: medications logged, activities, weather correlations, and custom notes
- User preferences: selected body parts to track, condition profile, gender preference for body diagram, app settings
- Generated reports: PDF exports you create to share with healthcare providers
- FlareCare Pro purchase status, as provided by Apple's purchase system (if applicable)
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our servers. Apple may provide crash logs or diagnostics to developers if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS settings.
How we use information
Since all data is stored locally on your device, we use information only to:
- Display your pain logs and symptom history within the app
- Generate charts and trend visualizations from your data
- Create PDF reports you can share with your healthcare team
- Save your preferences and app settings for future sessions
- Improve app quality using crash reports or diagnostics shared through Apple
Sharing and third parties
FlareCare Tracker does not sell, share, or rent your health data. The app contains no third-party advertising networks or tracking libraries. Your data remains entirely under your control.
When you generate and export a PDF report, you control who receives it and when. SY Software never sees the contents of these reports.
Data retention and deletion
All symptom logs, pain records, and health data are stored locally on your device. You have full control over your data:
- Delete individual log entries within the app
- Clear all data through the app's settings
- Delete the app to remove all associated local data
Once deleted from your device, data cannot be recovered. App Store purchase history and FlareCare Pro entitlements are managed by Apple according to their policies.
Your health information
FlareCare Tracker handles sensitive health information with care. Your symptom logs, pain records, medications, and mood data are personal medical information. We treat this data with the highest level of confidentiality and only store it on your device.
Children
FlareCare Tracker is designed for adults managing chronic pain conditions. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at support@sysoftware.com.
Your rights
You have complete control over your health data in FlareCare Tracker:
- Access: View all your data within the app at any time
- Export: Generate PDF reports of your symptom history
- Delete: Remove any or all data from the app
- Control: Decide what information you log and what to share with your healthcare team
For data managed by Apple (such as purchase history or FlareCare Pro entitlements), please use Apple's account and privacy tools.
Security
Since FlareCare Tracker stores data locally on your device, the security of your health information depends on your device's security measures. We recommend:
- Using a strong device passcode or biometric authentication
- Keeping iOS updated to the latest version
- Enabling automatic device lock
- Being cautious when sharing exported PDF reports
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or for other reasons. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of FlareCare Tracker after changes means you accept the updated policy.
