StackPilot does not require an account, does not sell your information, and does not include third-party advertising trackers. Tournament and player records are stored locally on your device.

What StackPilot does
StackPilot helps users create and run poker tournaments, display a tournament clock, manage blind structures and breaks, track players and tournament finances, calculate payouts, review tournament history, reference poker rules, and optionally control a live tournament from a nearby device.
Information you provide or create
Depending on the features you use, StackPilot may store information you enter or generate, including:
- Tournament names, dates, locations, statuses, blind structures, breaks, level timing, and event history
- Player names, nicknames, notes, seating order, status, and tournament participation
- Buy-ins, rebuys, add-ons, paid status, prize pools, payout rules, finishing positions, and winnings
- Player and tournament statistics such as games played, cashes, wins, investment, net results, and return on investment
- Saved tournament templates, house rules, sound preferences, announcement voice choices, and other app settings
- Feedback or support messages you choose to send to SY Software
Local storage and retention
StackPilot stores tournament, player, financial, history, template, rules, and settings data locally on your device using Apple platform storage. StackPilot does not require an SY Software account and does not operate a developer-hosted service for storing this data.
Deleting records inside the app removes them where supported. Deleting StackPilot generally removes its local app data from the device. Apple-managed device backups may retain app data according to your backup and iCloud settings.
Nearby remote control
If you use StackPilot Remote, the host device and remote device discover and connect to one another using Apple Multipeer Connectivity and the local network. StackPilot may exchange live tournament state and commands needed to display and control the clock, change levels or time, and record player eliminations.
Remote communication occurs directly between participating nearby devices. It does not require an SY Software account or an SY Software-hosted server. Other devices must be connected through StackPilot before they can exchange tournament state.
Local network permission
StackPilot may request permission to discover and communicate with nearby StackPilot devices. You can manage Local Network permission in iOS or iPadOS Settings. The core tournament timer can be used without enabling the remote-control feature.
Sound, speech, and haptics
StackPilot may use Apple-provided audio, speech synthesis, and haptic capabilities for countdown cues, level announcements, and tournament feedback. Announcement text is generated from tournament state. StackPilot does not record your voice for these announcements.
In-app purchases
If you purchase StackPilot Pro, payment and transaction processing are handled by Apple through the App Store. SY Software does not receive your payment card details. StackPilot uses Apple StoreKit transaction information to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked and to support purchase restoration.
Apple services and diagnostics
StackPilot may rely on Apple services for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, local networking, speech synthesis, device backups, and crash diagnostics if you choose to share diagnostics with developers through Apple settings.
SY Software does not include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party behavioral tracking SDKs in StackPilot.
How information is used
- To save, display, and update tournaments, timers, blind structures, players, payouts, and history
- To calculate tournament metrics, player standings, prize pools, and average stacks
- To synchronize live state and accept commands from a nearby connected StackPilot remote
- To remember app settings and confirm access to purchased features
- To respond to support requests and improve app reliability
Sharing
StackPilot does not sell or rent personal information. Information may be exchanged with a nearby StackPilot device when you intentionally use Remote, processed by Apple for services you choose to use, included in Apple-managed backups based on your settings, shared when you contact support, or disclosed when required by law.
Children
StackPilot is a general-audience tournament utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact support@sysoftware.com.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete tournament and player records in the app where supported.
- You can choose not to use nearby remote control and can disable Local Network access in Settings.
- You can disable sounds, announcement voices, or haptics through app settings where available.
- You can delete StackPilot to remove locally stored app data from the device.
- You can manage Apple diagnostics and device backups through Apple settings.
Accuracy and tournament decisions
StackPilot calculations and poker-rule references depend on the information entered by the tournament host. Users should verify blind structures, financial records, payouts, seating, and rule decisions before relying on them for a live tournament.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as StackPilot changes. If significant changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
