Who we are

Tasterly is published by SY Software, an independent app studio founded by Scott Yale. For questions about privacy or data practices, contact support@sysoftware.com.

Information stored in the app

Tasterly helps you remember what you liked and decide what to eat next. Depending on how you use the app, it may store or process:

• Restaurants, stores, food items, meals, dishes, brands, notes, photos, and ratings you add
• Preference data used to build your taste profile and recommendations
• Swipe decisions, favorites, categories, shopping lists, and decision wheel items
• Deals, gift cards, or pantry/grocery details you choose to save
• Location information while using map search, nearby restaurants, deal discovery, or directions features
• App settings, filters, and other preferences
• Tasterly purchase or subscription status, as provided by Apple's purchase system if applicable

If iCloud sync is enabled for Tasterly or your device, your app data may be synced through Apple's iCloud services under your Apple account. We do not sell your personal information. Apple may provide crash logs or diagnostics to developers if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS settings.

How information is used

Information you add is used to run the app's core features:

• Display your saved food, restaurant, grocery, and store history
• Help you search, filter, rate, compare, and organize what you have tried
• Build a taste profile based on your own ratings and preferences
• Support decision tools such as swiping, lists, and the dinner wheel
• Show map search results, nearby places, deal context, and directions-related information when you use location features
• Restore purchase status and improve app reliability using Apple-provided diagnostics

AI features

If you choose to use Tasterly's AI features, the text you provide and relevant app context may be sent to an AI service to generate a response. Do not include sensitive personal information in AI prompts. AI features are optional and are used only when you ask the app to generate suggestions or answers.

Sharing and third parties

Tasterly does not include third-party advertising networks or advertising trackers. We do not sell, rent, or share your taste data for advertising. If you export, copy, screenshot, or share information from the app, you control where it goes and who receives it.

Data retention and deletion

Your app data remains available until you delete it. You can remove individual entries in the app where supported, clear app data where available, or delete the app from your device to remove locally stored data associated with Tasterly. Purchase history and subscriptions are managed by Apple according to Apple's policies.

Children

Tasterly is intended for general audiences but is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at support@sysoftware.com.

Security

We recommend using a strong device passcode or biometric authentication, keeping iOS updated, and being thoughtful about what you enter into notes or AI prompts.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in Tasterly or our practices. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
