Privacy Policy

PickleStrong is a personal pickleball fitness, recovery, and readiness app. It does not sell your information and does not use third-party advertising trackers.
Who we are
PickleStrong is published by SY Software, an independent app studio founded by Scott Yale. For privacy questions, contact support@sysoftware.com.
What PickleStrong does
PickleStrong helps pickleball players warm up, recover, build strength, log soreness, track play sessions, review progress, and estimate court readiness. PickleStrong is a fitness and wellness app. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Information you provide or create
- Onboarding choices, such as play frequency, goals, areas you want to protect, and equipment available
- Soreness check-ins, including sore body areas, soreness level, energy, hydration, session difficulty, and optional notes
- Pickleball session records, including date, duration, source, and calories when available
- Routine completions, completed routine dates, recovery streaks, and progress summaries
- Settings, onboarding state, subscription entitlement state, and display preferences
- Feedback or support messages you send to SY Software
Apple Health data
Apple Health access is optional. If you grant permission, PickleStrong may read Health-related data to personalize readiness and progress features. This may include pickleball workouts, sleep analysis, heart rate, resting heart rate, and active energy burned.
PickleStrong does not write Health data. Health data is used only to provide features you request, such as readiness context, recent pickleball sessions, sleep-aware recommendations, recovery guidance, and progress summaries.
PickleStrong does not sell Health data, use Health data for advertising, or share Health data with data brokers. You can manage Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.
Readiness score and recommendations
PickleStrong may calculate a court readiness score from app data, such as recent sessions and soreness entries, plus optional Health-related data if you have granted permission. Readiness scores and recommendations are informational fitness guidance only and may not reflect your actual medical condition or injury risk.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, PickleStrong may send reminders related to recovery, routines, trial status, or app usage. You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.
Storage and retention
PickleStrong stores profile choices, soreness entries, session records, routine completions, streaks, settings, and cached readiness context locally on your device using Apple-provided storage. Deleting the app generally deletes local app data stored with it. Some Apple-managed data, such as Health records or device backups, may be controlled through Apple's settings and privacy tools.
Third-party services
PickleStrong may use Apple services for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, HealthKit, notifications, iCloud or device backup if enabled by your device settings, and crash diagnostics if you choose to share diagnostics with app developers.
SY Software does not use third-party advertising SDKs in PickleStrong.
In-app purchases and subscriptions
PickleStrong may offer paid Pro features through in-app purchases or subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. SY Software does not receive your payment card details. The app may store purchase entitlement status on your device so it can unlock purchased features.

Accuracy and limitations

Review important information before relying on it, and consult a qualified professional for medical concerns.
